Position Overview

What? Ideally, this is a multi-week long, ministry and leadership role. Counselors will be responsible for ensuring a high-quality, Christian youth camp session experience for youth ages 7-17. Their duties will include, but not be limited to, planning and youth management tasks. Working with a team under the direction of a qualified Camp Director, Counselors will work to ensure youth attending the session(s) are safe and fed biblical spiritual truth through a Christian mentor relationship. 

Who? Individuals who feel God is calling them to this role. Individuals will need to be Christian leaders who are willing to serve and direct youth in a biblical manner. Counselors should have a passion for teaching the next generation about the truth and power found in God’s Word.

Why? Being a counselor can give you practical skills and experience that lasts a lifetime. A Counselor job is good experience for preparing you for future job roles and a great first step to experiencing how a ministry role may be God’s calling for you. Counselors have the opportunity to build relationships that last a lifetime, serve and mentor others as God intended, and follow Christ in sharing your faith and reaching the next generation with the good news. A meaningful job that can bless you personally with lifelong memories.

Requirements? Agree to serve as part of a team of counselors. Ability to serve as Counselor during at least one full camping program session, though multiple sessions is preferred. Ability to attend counselor training provided prior to camping session start dates (training will provide activities, planning time, mentors, team building and resources all centered around preparing you to become a high-quality Christian counselor).
